The swarm indicator patented by our company makes it easier to control bee colonies. Thanks to many years of observation and the idea of ​​a beekeeper friend, we have created the only such product in the world. 

The method of operation of the product is simple. During swarming, bees wanting to escape from the hive go to the exit hole where the beeper is installed. Under the pressure of the bees, the cap is pulled down at some point, allowing the bees to leave the hive, which is an important sign for the beekeeper that the bees have swarmed.

The swarm alarm is an innovative project initiated by the cooperation of LYSON with the author of the idea, Mr. Zdzisław Żur. The innovative solution is characterized by simplicity and accessibility for everyone.

How is the LYSON swarm detector constructed?

A transparent cap tops the tube curved at an appropriate angle. During swarming, the transparent cover causes the bees to move urgently to the light under the cover. The pressure of the bees finally pushes out the transparent cover. When the transparent top falls off the beeper's structure, the beekeeper knows that bees have swarmed in a given hive. There is no need to open and look into the hive. We don't have to irritate the bees in this case.
The most important thing is that the curvature of the pipe used is appropriate. The color of the tube used is also important. It cannot be black. It must be a shade light enough for the bees to move towards its mouth while swarming. The length of the tube and its angle of curvature allow the bees to observe the outside of the hive.
