This queen cage is designed to improve queen acceptance rates when introducing a new queen into a hive. It features two chambers for queen candy or fondant, each offering a specific role in the gradual integration process.​

How to Use the Queen Cage

• Place queen candy or fondant in both chambers of the cage before introducing the queen to the colony.​

• The narrow chamber allows for faster candy removal and only lets a single worker bee pass at a time, helping the hive gradually socialize with the new queen.​

• The larger chamber contains more candy, which is chewed out more slowly by the worker bees.​

• This staged release gives the colony time to acclimatize and increases the likelihood of the queen being accepted once she is fully released into the hive.​

For best results, ensure the cage is securely closed and positioned correctly within the hive, allowing access to both chambers for the bees to begin chewing and socializing immediately.
