Boxes for jars with honey and bee products have an additional aesthetic function. They have a much larger surface than the label on a jar of honey, which allows you to place additional information about the product.
Bee products additionally packed in a box also make it possible to distinguish the product, and models with a handle facilitate the transport of honey, pollen, bee bread or propolis.
The box is not only aesthetics, but also protection
In order for honey to retain its valuable properties as long as possible, it should be protected, e.g. from light, especially from direct sunlight. It would be best if it was offered in jars made of dark glass. However, this is not the case. Nobody sells honey in dark jars. Why? Well, the market verified it. Consumers are more likely to buy honey packaged in clear glass, because one of the most important criteria for them when buying is the ability to see the product.
A box for jars with honey and other bee products perfectly fills this gap. It protects products from light and additionally has an aesthetic function. The boxes for honey jars usually have special windows cut out through which the labels and partly the honey can be seen.
The jar packed additionally in a cardboard box is harder to break, which makes transport of this product easier.
Special protective boxes are also available in stores, which are used to send honey in the case of distance sales, e.g. in online stores.
The box increases the prestige of the product
There are many social studies that conclude that the appearance of a product and its price affect the opinion about it. Not necessarily the customer will always choose the cheapest offer. Cheap products are associated with "Chinese", low quality, and even in the case of honey with a counterfeit product (sugar syrup). It is worth investing in a nice packaging, including boxes, to convince customers to buy. Good quality products are sold at higher prices and consumers are ready for it. But how do they know that your honey is of really good quality? It is worth, even locally, to build your beekeeping brand and be recognizable in your region (or more widely), and a necessary tool to achieve this goal is good packaging of your product. Boxes offer many possibilities here.
