MULTIBOX FOR TRANSPORTING BEES WITH A WATERER, PLASTIC

Can be stacked or used individually. For containing and transporting bee packages.

How to Use a Bee Transport Box with Feeder

  1. Assembly: The Multibox is designed for self-assembly, meaning you will need to put together the components following the manufacturer's instructions. Ensure all parts are securely fitted to prevent bees from escaping during transport.
  2. Preparation: Before introducing bees into the box, ensure the feeder is clean and filled with an appropriate feed solution. This could be sugar syrup or another feed recommended for bees. The inclusion of a feeder is crucial for providing sustenance to the bees during transportation or when they are being introduced to a new environment.
  3. Introducing Bees: Carefully transfer the bees into the Multibox. This might involve shaking bees from frames into the box - we recommend using the optional funnel for bee chute. Ensure the box is securely closed after the bees are inside.
  4. Transportation: The box should be kept in a secure, ventilated, and shaded place during transport to prevent overheating and stress to the bees. The feeder will provide the necessary sustenance during this period.
  5. Release: Upon reaching the destination, the box can be opened and the bees shaken carefully into their new hive. This should be done carefully to minimize stress and ensure a smooth transition for the bees.

Benefits of Using a Bee Transport Box with Feeder

  • Sustenance During Transport: The primary benefit of having a feeder within the transport box is to ensure the bees have access to food, maintaining their health and vitality during transportation or when being introduced to a new environment.
  • Stress Reduction: Transporting bees can be stressful for the colony. A feeder provides a familiar element, helping to reduce stress by ensuring the bees' nutritional needs are met.
  • Improved Survival Rates: Access to food during critical periods such as transportation or introduction to a new hive can improve the survival rates of bees by preventing starvation and supporting their energy needs.
  • Convenience: For beekeepers, the integration of a feeder into the transport box simplifies the process of feeding bees during transport, eliminating the need for additional feeding arrangements and ensuring the bees are ready to work upon arrival at their new location.
