Honey extractor, 2 honey frames (universal basket), manual drive, with a sieve and stainless settler, Ø 400 mm – MINIMA
The Lyson 2 frame extractor with settling tank and sieve, model W233B_OM, is a manual honey extractor designed for small-scale beekeeping operations. This model is part of the MINIMA line, which is intended for beekeepers who are either just starting out or have a small number of hives. It is a tangential extractor, meaning that the honeycombs are placed parallel to the drum wall and spun on one side before being turned over to spin the other side. Honey can be transferred or bottled using the gate valve in the bottom of the settler.
The extractor is equipped with a universal basket that can accommodate 2 honey frames. It has a manual drive and features a drum diameter of 400 mm. The construction of the extractor includes a stainless steel settler and a sieve that sit underneath the extractor, which serve to gently filter and settle the honey during the extraction process. The honey extractor is quiet while working, and the drive is very easy to set in motion and stop if necessary.
All tangential honey extractors, regardless of the manufacturer, require rotating the frames to spin the honey on both sides of the frame. Tangential and cassette extractors protect the frames from damage, and are suitable for spinning most honey varieties. It is easy for even beginner beekeepers to use.
Honey extraction and washing of honey extractor is simple with warm water and food grade detergent.
All elements of honey extractors in contact with honey are made of food grade materials.
